About Amanda Banks
My journey with acupuncture began 20 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child. I suffered dreadful morning sickness and despite my fear of needles visited an acupuncturist. The transformation in how I felt was incredible. I continued to use acupuncture over the years and this led to me being inspired to re-train.
After graduating from the College I set up two practices one in London and one at home in Billericay (Essex). My practice in Billericay became so busy I have now decided to only practice here and not in London. I am presently also a lecturer at the City College of Acupuncture in London and still run workshop days for small groups of patients suffering from Painful Bladder Syndromes.
My areas of special interest are urogenital, fertility and digestive issues with my aim being to deliver effective acupuncture in a relaxing manner. Each person is an individual and needs treatment tailored specifically for them, as a qualified acupuncturist and naturopath I am able to address specific issues with many different forms of therapy. I am fully licensed and insured, all of my needles are single use, pre-sterilised and individually wrapped. I am also a member of the BAcC.
